I’m not sure how companies think they are customer orientated and make out they are giving their customers a gift, when all the time they are really just trying to clear old stock at the customers expense.
On 13th December 2024, I received an email from Sunglass Hut offering me a gift of R600 off a pair of their sunglasses. That’s worth looking at I thought, I could do with a new pair of Ray-Ban glasses. Not the case, when you read the offers small print you realise you can’t have your pick of the range, the offer excludes the following brands, Chanel, Dior, Maui Jim, Persol, Brunello Cucinelli, Prada, Oliver People’s, Miu Miu, and selected Ray-Ban styles.
They are making out I am a premier client, giving me an exclusive gift, but no you can’t have the brands you may like, you can only have the brands and styles they want you to buy. I’m sure the ones they have included in the offer are all the slow sellers they are happy to reduce by R600 to get rid of.
Well the truth is you have insulted me as a customer as you don’t think much of me to allow
me to have the offer on the sunglasses I want to buy and wear. This offer has back- fired as you have lost me as a customer forever,
