As not everyone has the opportunity to visit the exciting new H&M store at the V&A waterfront in Capetown I thought I would do a little shopping and show you some items I bought.
Firstly I just want to mention unlike shopping in Edgar’s, H&M have an abundance of sales associates. In fact they possibly have far too many however it confirms the attitude of this retailer, customer service is very important to them.
Summer is arriving so a pair of new shorts would be a requirement. After browsing through a wide selection of casual, smart, and leisure shorts I decided on a comfortable very fashionable leisure pair…..
Substantial fabric, very good detail and excellent quality for a very reasonable R149.
Next, a definite need is a fresh summer t-shirt, something to get noticed in. The assortment this store has to offer is increadable with something for everyone. I decided on a multi coloured T which I can also use when I am painting……………great value at R149
Moving on I noticed a neat short sleeve fashionable denim shirt. I would normally expect to pay +/- R499 or if I was buying from Guess R899. I was pleasantly surprised to see the price was R229. This is a must have!
Not an item I would normally buy but when I saw this sleeveless hoodie I just had to buy it. Fashionable grey colour with zip front for R229. The fabric feels really good and the finish looks like a garment double the price
lastly a casual shirt for a hot summer evening dining at camps bay, would look good on its own or over a navy blue T-shirt. Can’t believe it’s cheaper than the denim shirt at R149.
In summary, I spent just over an hour in the store and certainly could have continued to shop for another hour if I had the time. The interaction I had with th store staff at the fitting rooms and point of sale were way above expectation. Bubbly sales associates who genuinely want to deliver a great experience.
Watch this space, I will certainly be back I noticed they have a homeware department which will certainly be worth a look
enjoy your shopping!
